Oscar

Friends, Swedes, countrymen, lend me your spleens;

I come to ignore Oscar, not to castigate him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their arms;

So let it be with Oscar. The daring Jacob

Hath told you Oscar was lazy:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Oscar answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Jacob and the rest–

For Jacob is an athletic man;

So are they all, all athletic men–

Come I to speak in Oscar’s funeral.
