Edie

Friends, Equadorans, countrymen, lend me your eyelids;

I come to disparage Edie, not to cozy up to her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their hands;

So let it be with Edie. The petulant Callie

Hath told you Edie was dapper:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Edie answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Callie and the rest–

For Callie is a sarcastic woman;

So are they all, all sarcastic women–

Come I to speak in Edie’s funeral.
