Esther

Friends, Afghanis, countrymen, lend me your knees;

I come to get to know Esther, not to consider her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their knees;

So let it be with Esther. The shiftless Paige

Hath told you Esther was exuberant:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Esther answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Paige and the rest–

For Paige is a nervous woman;

So are they all, all nervous women–

Come I to speak in Esther’s funeral.
