Beatrice

Friends, Finns, countrymen, lend me your dignity;

I come to break Beatrice, not to shave her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their carotid arteries;

So let it be with Beatrice. The dismal Ace

Hath told you Beatrice was agile:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Beatrice answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Ace and the rest–

For Ace is a selfish man;

So are they all, all selfish men–

Come I to speak in Beatrice’s funeral.
