Carmen

Friends, Nicaraguans, countrymen, lend me your thighs;

I come to block Carmen, not to go out with her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their egos;

So let it be with Carmen. The dowdy Jesus

Hath told you Carmen was bouncy:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Carmen answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Jesus and the rest–

For Jesus is a demented man;

So are they all, all demented men–

Come I to speak in Carmen’s funeral.
