Jamie

Friends, Australians, countrymen, lend me your larynxes;

I come to isolate Jamie, not to sneer at him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their hands;

So let it be with Jamie. The sincere David

Hath told you Jamie was emotional:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Jamie answer’d it.

Here, under leave of David and the rest–

For David is a decent man;

So are they all, all decent men–

Come I to speak in Jamie’s funeral.
