Angie

Friends, Filipinos, countrymen, lend me your kneecaps;

I come to ignore Angie, not to block her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their chins;

So let it be with Angie. The wizened Evelyn

Hath told you Angie was cowardly:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Angie answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Evelyn and the rest–

For Evelyn is a tired woman;

So are they all, all tired women–

Come I to speak in Angie’s funeral.
