Douglas

Friends, Spaniards, countrymen, lend me your mouths;

I come to belittle Douglas, not to bore him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their scalps;

So let it be with Douglas. The sarcastic Lorna

Hath told you Douglas was furry:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Douglas answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Lorna and the rest–

For Lorna is a statuesque woman;

So are they all, all statuesque women–

Come I to speak in Douglas’s funeral.
