Damien

Friends, Belgians, countrymen, lend me your funny bones;

I come to neglect Damien, not to care for him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their dignity;

So let it be with Damien. The megalomaniacal Bobbie

Hath told you Damien was intense:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Damien answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Bobbie and the rest–

For Bobbie is a naïve woman;

So are they all, all naïve women–

Come I to speak in Damien’s funeral.
