Mason

Friends, Laotians, countrymen, lend me your pride;

I come to remember Mason, not to trip him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their appendixes;

So let it be with Mason. The bizarre Hoss

Hath told you Mason was cunning:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Mason answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Hoss and the rest–

For Hoss is a self-confident man;

So are they all, all self-confident men–

Come I to speak in Mason’s funeral.
