Antonio

Friends, Lithuanians, countrymen, lend me your calves;

I come to fool Antonio, not to laugh at him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their elbows;

So let it be with Antonio. The rapacious Garrick

Hath told you Antonio was tall:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Antonio answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Garrick and the rest–

For Garrick is a noxious man;

So are they all, all noxious men–

Come I to speak in Antonio’s funeral.
