Ruby

Friends, Latvians, countrymen, lend me your backs;

I come to confront Ruby, not to demean her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their little fingers;

So let it be with Ruby. The haggard Jolene

Hath told you Ruby was humble:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Ruby answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Jolene and the rest–

For Jolene is a bold woman;

So are they all, all bold women–

Come I to speak in Ruby’s funeral.
