Leila

Friends, Luxembourgans, countrymen, lend me your claws;

I come to doubt Leila, not to whisper to her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their wigs;

So let it be with Leila. The sleek Esther

Hath told you Leila was cuddly:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Leila answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Esther and the rest–

For Esther is a pesky woman;

So are they all, all pesky women–

Come I to speak in Leila’s funeral.
