Mim

Friends, Ethopians, countrymen, lend me your legs;

I come to mislead Mim, not to needle her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their faces;

So let it be with Mim. The sophisticated Vernon

Hath told you Mim was mindless:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Mim answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Vernon and the rest–

For Vernon is a haughty man;

So are they all, all haughty men–

Come I to speak in Mim’s funeral.
