Sadie

Friends, Luxembourgans, countrymen, lend me your heads;

I come to believe Sadie, not to glare at her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their tummies;

So let it be with Sadie. The relaxed Clio

Hath told you Sadie was bellicose:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Sadie answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Clio and the rest–

For Clio is a noble woman;

So are they all, all noble women–

Come I to speak in Sadie’s funeral.
