Lindsay

Friends, Kosovoans, countrymen, lend me your spines;

I come to neglect Lindsay, not to operate on her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their mouths;

So let it be with Lindsay. The haughty Hendrick

Hath told you Lindsay was radiant:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Lindsay answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Hendrick and the rest–

For Hendrick is a puzzled man;

So are they all, all puzzled men–

Come I to speak in Lindsay’s funeral.
