Annalouise

Friends, Filipinos, countrymen, lend me your spleens;

I come to care for Annalouise, not to watch her.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their dignity;

So let it be with Annalouise. The homely Daniel

Hath told you Annalouise was muddled:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Annalouise answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Daniel and the rest–

For Daniel is a jaunty man;

So are they all, all jaunty men–

Come I to speak in Annalouise’s funeral.
