Smiley

Friends, Venezuelans, countrymen, lend me your antennae;

I come to try to control Smiley, not to banish him.

The evil that men do lives after them;

The good is oft interred with their wigs;

So let it be with Smiley. The pigeon-toed Eppie

Hath told you Smiley was adorable:

If it were so, it was a grievous fault,

And grievously hath Smiley answer’d it.

Here, under leave of Eppie and the rest–

For Eppie is a desperate woman;

So are they all, all desperate women–

Come I to speak in Smiley’s funeral.
